Banyuwangi has a unique batik motif known as “Gajah Oling“. Believed to be the oldest batik style in this area, it is a symbol of local heritage, representing the strength and resilience of Mataram Islam and Blambangan Kingdom. This decorative motif is usually used in the traditional costume of the Gandrung dance and Seblang ritual.
Enjoy a fascinating introduction to making Batik “Gajah Oling“ in a private class with a local artist, and bring your own creation home as a precious memory of this fun and unforgettable experience. The class takes place at the hotel and lasts approximately 2 hours.
